Self-Help is the Core (Part 1)

I finally thought that Self-Help is the Core of JSJ. It is through this that Jiro Murai (person who rediscovered the art) got healed of his terminal illness through the holding of the mudras. At this point of time, he did not have anything with him; textbooks or teacher- all he had was his 2 hands for jumper cabling and some basic knowledge- JSJ is our inheritance

New update

Dear all

Its been some time since I last blogged. So many things have happened lately. Its been like more than a month since I came back to Singapore, after returning from my 3months attachment at Jiangnan University. Trying to get back to normal life all that and settling all my stuff which I did already. Throughtout these months, JSJ has still continued to be part of me in which I still practice extensively to myself and family, though more still could be done. I am also trying to understand the philosophy and the art through my own research with more ancient texts. I believe that JSJ is far greater than it seems. It will indeed take me a long time before I can fully understand this art after I am able to attend more lectures which I am unable to do so currently due to financial constraints. Will update more soon. So stay tune.

Updates

Wow

Been some time since I last posted something. Time flies, exams just finish. Been reading up on jsj now. Looking through notes and materials of previous jsj classes I've attended. Going to China, Wuxi next week for 3 months so yeah, will continue posting when possible.

I finally understand the system of JSJ now. The following is my own point of view only: They seriouslly reflect the USA system of education. As a Singaporean, one may not feel quite use to the system. My own view is that the USA system teaches you the fundamentals and its the student's duty to break it down, piece all the pieces of fundamentals themselves. Its making the students being able to apply the art at their own understanding. There are no rules and flexibility in such a system though the very fundamentals and framework still have to be in place.

The Singapore/UK system is less holistic because there is a emphasis of specific application, etc where one will say if Lg intestine got problem for example, do this do that. The thing is why not be the own artist-remember there is no right or wrong. In such a instance, i think the own student's understanding will unfold day by day with consistant understanding and practice.

So yeah, I am no longer afraid of the magnitude of JSJ. I find the system very good-follow american traditional education-to develop all rounders. Yes, there is a large volume of syllabus to cover but well, just be and stay in a now.Rather than saying I must learn JSJ, say I want to learn JSJ. Thats the process. Just enjoy the process. Study at your own pace and allow for individual pace of growth of understanding to the art. Do not rush the process and this may be detrimental. Remember, everyone is unique, so no comparing of whose proficiency better all that.

Lastly, find people to study together. Its really a process and its by discussing that we all learn from one another that one's understanding also expands. Afterall, all of us still remains a student.

Hope this helps for all those who understands what I am talking about.

With many blessings

Fingers & Toe

Hell everyone once again

Ever wondered how powerful how your hands and fingers how? They are powerful already, yet when they are held together at the same time, micraculous things can happen and amazing things happen, sometimes micracles too. As such, Today I am very priviledge to cover on the topic one finger and toes flow and why this flow is so important and vital to the understanding of jsj. This website here provides a very informative document about the application of how to do the opposite finger and toe flow. It is based on the law of opposite where you will hold for eg, (Right) Thumb held together with (left) little toe, so on and so forth (it its taught in more detail explanation in the 5 day class of jsj) http://www.bodywisesoulwise.com.au/Texts/OppositeFingersAndToes.pdf Look at this document/website for the proper application and look out for the details there present for a better understanding of the overview of this application. It is very good in establishing the body's blueprint and for the harmony of the total body. It helps to revitalise the entire being.
I rmb Master Teacher Wayne Hackett in class mentioning about how this flow could help people who do have their 5 fingers due to whatever reasons eg the fingers get chopped or fall off. This flow helps it in the way that by doing this flow, the fingers may grow back if destinied to be. It is also good for car wreak where the person becomes paralysed.
You can apply for someone you love or care and after a long time of application, you will definetely see the results not only physically but mentally and spiritually for that total harmony you are looking for. Try it, and let me know what miracles you encountered with this flow.

Best of Luck

The Spine

A very important area in the body. Keep it straight and in harmony and your body will also be in order. So next time if you are thinking of visiting the chiropractor, you may want to hold your fingers. Just like the fingers, the spine as well connects to all your body energies. The discomforts in your body is mainly caused by your organ function energy disfunctioning. That is all you guys have to know.
To recap which organs the fingers are connected too:
1)Thumb (Stomach(yang) and Spleen(yin))
2)Index (Bladder(yang) and Kidney(yin))
3)Middle (Gall Bladder(yang)and liver(yin))
4)Ring (Large Intestine(yang) and Lung(yin))
5)Little (Small Intestine (yang) and Heart(yin))
6)Palm (Umbilicus(yang) Diaphragm(yin))

Till then, see you all next time.

Nick
